Job Title: Class 1 Driver
Reports to: Depot Manager
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Shifts: 20:00 - 06:00 10 nights every fortnight to be agreed
Role Summary:
Drive company vehicles safely and comply with all relevant legislation and rules related to the transportation of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a list of the main duties of the role and should not be considered an exhaustive list.
- Complete deliveries and collections across the UK.
- Load and unload following company procedures, using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain load security during transport.
- Adhere to vehicle safety regulations, tachograph operation, and Working Time Directive.
Experience & Qualifications:
- C+E Licence required.
- Valid Driver CPC card (DQC) essential.
- Digital tachograph card essential.
- Minimum 2 years of LGV driving experience (must be over 25 for insurance purposes).
- Strong knowledge of EU Regulations, Working Time Directive, and UK road networks.
- Familiarity with manual loading, unloading, and freight security.
- Unacceptable endorsements: Drink or drug-related offences (last 10 years), disqualifications (last 5 years), and any IN, CD, DD, DR, or BA codes on licence.
