Senior Infrastructure Technician
Due to their continued success, our client is seeing growth in their Civil Engineering workload and is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Technician to expand their team in Glasgow.
The successful candidate will be passionate, talented, and enthusiastic, with the opportunity to work on a range of live projects. The successful candidates will have several years of experience in a technical engineering environment.
Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of 8 years' experience in roads, drainage and earthworks drawing and detailing, utilising CIVILS 3D software, however training in these packages can be provided as required.
The company provides the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types and scales, the majority of which are relatively local and likely to progress to construction stage, therefore allowing excellent experience. The office provides a friendly studio environment that is both creative, passionate, practical, and design focused in its approach. The role will report to Senior Engineers and Project Directors and will work closely with a professional and experienced team of engineers and technicians.聽
Responsibilities
路Undertake external works, roads and drainage design and modelling
路Prepare and manage project documentation-including, but not limited to, models, drawings, construction specifications, key stage reports, statutory submission reports, design calculations, and project schedules
路Contribute and support the ongoing development of BIM management processes.
路Take a leading role in quality control of design models and drawing outputs
路Represent the company in attendance at client and design team meetings
路Mentor and guide junior staff to ensure project requirements are fulfilled to specifications
路Be proactive in direct communication with clients and other project stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications
路Relevant prior professional experience
路Civil 3D experience is required; general familiarity with Autodesk software is desired
路Drainage design experience ideally utilising Microdrainage/Infodrainage software
路Working knowledge of clash detection software (eg Navisworks) is beneficial
路Working knowledge of current compliance legislation-with an eye on future legal changes
