Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:

This role involves designing and developing mechanical systems for building services projects, with an element of contract management and ensuring health and safety compliance. You will create detailed designs, manage project contracts, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet client requirements.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Main Activities/Responsibilities:

- Design and develop HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for building services

- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports

- Perform calculations to ensure systems meet performance and safety standards

- Manage contracts and oversee project timelines and budgets

- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to across all project phases

- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and contractors throughout project lifecycles

- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve technical issues

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Mechanical Design Engineer - You:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering

- Proven experience in mechanical design within the building services sector

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing design

- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards
