Senior Ecologist Opportunity in Scotland!

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh | Hybrid/Flexible Work Arrangements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Projects: Manage ecology-focused projects or oversee ecological/ornithological aspects within broader initiatives
  • Fieldwork & Surveys: Conduct and supervise ecological surveys, delivering high-quality Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and standalone assessments
  • Report Writing: Produce and review comprehensive ecology reports and technical chapters that set industry standards
  • Licensing Expertise: Handle protected species licence applications with accuracy and care
  • Client & Business Growth: Build strong client relationships, attend networking events, and represent the company at conferences, driving future business growth

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced Ecologist: Strong background in project management, ecological surveys, and technical report writing
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of UK ecology, conservation legislation, and protected species licensing
  • Flexible Team Player: Able to adapt and assist with other environmental assessments as needed
  • Client-Focused: Proven ability to build lasting relationships and contribute to business development

This role is based in Scotland, with easy access to either Glasgow or Edinburgh. Flexible, hybrid working is available, but occasional travel to the office and client sites is required.
