Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Building Services Design Engineer required to join contractors design team based in Glasgow. The Electrical Design Engineer will have a strong technical background and experience designing electrical building services systems. The Electrical Design Engineer will have the opportunity to refine their engineering skills working on bespoke, technically challenging, design and construct projects in specialist and regulated markets, working directly with world leading end user clients. The Electrical Design Engineer duties will cover: Design electrical systems including HV and LV Distribution, Lighting, Fire, Structed Cabling and Security systems with support from senior engineers as required Develop detailed plans and specifications with input from senior engineers as required Perform system calculations and select equipment based on project requirements Collaborate with project teams to ensure design conformance with industry standards and regulations Prepare construction documents, including equipment schedules, layout drawings and single-line diagrams Manage the electrical aspect of projects from design through construction and commissioning The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field, Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industry standards, Ability to think from first principles to develop elegant, efficient and economical design solutions, Excellent communication and project management skills, Proficiency with electrical design software and associated tools, such as Trimble (Amtech), Dialux / Relux and Excel, Working knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing platforms including AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam
