Are you an experienced Electrical Technician with a passion for innovation and excellence? We are looking for a talented individual to join a dynamic automotive engineering team based in Glasgow. In this role, you will play a crucial part in new product development and current model production projects working on special purpose vehicles.

This is a permanent position with excellent benefits including a 4 day work week with flexible start and finish times, 25 days holiday and access to an industry leading perks and discounts package.

Electrical Technician - Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical products and systems.
  • Amend designs, technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOM), and documentation through the Engineering Change Note (ECN) process.
  • Oversee maintenance, inspection, and system upgrade programs.
  • Solve technical design problems during the construction of electrical systems.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for electrical and electronic manufacture and construction.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems.
  • Analyse and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Represent the engineering team professionally and positively to internal and external customers/suppliers travelling to sites when required.

Electrical Technician - Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in using Electrical Schematic Software, preferably Zuken.
  • HND in electrical engineering or related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and application thereof in electrical fault finding.
  • Skilled in using testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Skilled in using repair tools.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems both in factory and in the field.
  • Flexibility to travel when required.
