They specialise in providing mechanical and electrical building services, building fabrics repair and soft services to multiple sectors inclusive of commercial offices, education, critical environments, retail sites, shopping centres, local authorities, distribution, and logistics, manufactures.

The Role:
Our client has recently acquired a new retail/communicationssector facilities management contract inScotland covering the central belt.

They are currently looking to recruit maintenance electrician with somemechanical knowledgeto cover planned and reactive maintenance for a globally known brands site in Scotland

Typical Duties:
  • Fault find and carry out repairs on all electrical building systems and equipment
  • Carry out all PPMs and reactive tasks as necessary to onsite electrical systems and specialist equipment.
  • Ensure the site's logbook is kept up to date, and all losses, recoveries and additions are recorded appropriately.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and operational upkeep of portable and fixed equipment.
  • Ensure that PPM and Reactive jobs are processed, and defects are diagnosed, and faults are repaired and testing.
  • Responsibilities will also include being a member of the on-call rota for the contract.
  • Tasks will be allocated using a PDA, so all activities must be recorded and logged in real time

Requirements for the Maintenance Electrician role:

Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar FM maintenance role
  • Experienced with planned and reactive maintenance
  • Experienced working in the commercial sector
Qualifications:
  • Industry relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of City & Guilds qualifications C&G 2361 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • C&G 18th Edition
  • C&G 2391 Testing and Inspection
