Your new companyThis is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Hays' long-term clients based in Glasgow. This is a hybrid role with a requirement of working on-site 3 days per week, paying up to £60,000 per annum depending on your experience.

Your new roleAs cyber security consultant, you will lead security operations for the safeguarding of the company's users, infrastructure and data. Day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring networks, detecting security threats, assessing alarms and reporting incidents. You'll also oversee compliance, vulnerability management, incident response and maintain security standards in ine with GDPR and ISO 27001.You will also be managing a small team of 2.What you'll need to succeedYou must have:

  • A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Cyber Security or similar, with working experience in IT security in previous roles. SSCP, CISSP, or CISM certifications are great to have.
  • Working knowledge of CE+, ISO 27001/ 22301 and M365/ Azure cloud environment. Ideally ethical hacking and SIEM management also.
  • Experience in: network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention, anti-virus, malware sandboxing reports, security tooling (Windows & Cloud environment), XDR, EDR, email & remote access security, cloud security (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), anomaly detection, identity management, and Mitre ATT&CK and NIST frameworks.
