North Star is recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a real Scottish success story on a permanent basis in the Glasgow area. This role has a hybrid working pattern.

The IT team is led by an exceptional IT leader, and the cohort is warm, friendly and supportive. It is a great working environment in a forward thinking business.

The business is investing heavily in its IT infrastructure, ERP and technical capability. As part of this investment, they have a new opportunity for a Cyber Security specialist to join the team. You'll need around 2 - 3 years + experience of more to deliver in this role.

To be considered you need

  • the right to work in the UK, there is no sponsorship available
  • live within reasonable travel distance of the Glasgow area
  • have Cyber Security experience
  • Cyber Security qualifications e.g. CCP, CISSP, CISM
  • patching and patch management (Microsoft Azure and on-prem)
  • experience managing risk (NIST, ISO 27001)
  • threat monitoring
  • optimisation of tools e.g. Sophos, Barracuda, Mimecast, Defender, Fortinet, Netscope etc
