Are you a seasoned HR professional with a passion for delivering exceptional advisory services? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term 12-month contract. This role offers the perfect blend of remote and in-office work, providing flexibility and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Complex Case Management:

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to Advice & Casework Advisors/Officers on escalated cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
  • Manage case workloads across line reports, ensuring adequate resources and appropriate competencies are in place.
  • Resolve complex issues with a person-centred approach, managing your own caseload and supporting your team.
  • Participate in case conferences with team members and operational management to effectively and efficiently resolve complex cases.

Team Development:

  • Support the Advice & Casework Manager in developing and embedding consistent working and volunteering practices.
  • Manage Advisers and Officers to ensure high-level advice and support on a wide range of volunteering and staff issues.
  • Collaborate with all BRC teams to understand operational priorities and define necessary interventions or improvements.
  • Ensure resources are in place to meet service requirements and maintain updated case management systems.
  • Conduct regular case load reviews and stakeholder engagement meetings to proactively address local plans and support needs.
  • Provide monthly updates to the Advice & Casework Manager on case management metrics.

Service Development:

  • Empower and guide Line Managers to improve their People Management skills.
  • Address concerns about individual line managers' behaviour and approach with the Advice & Casework Manager and People Business Partners.
  • Identify areas for improvement in manager development regarding employee relations cases and work with the Advice & Casework Manager and L&OD Team to develop suitable interventions.
  • Highlight opportunities to enhance training and development in People Management with the Head of Learning & Organisational Development and Business Partners.
