Geo-environmental Consultant - Glasgow

We are looking for someone to advance their career in a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy. Working directly under the Geo-Environmental Team Lead, in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary office, you'll be involved in all aspects of project management, technical delivery and business development/client management.

This Geo-Environmental Consultant role offers a balance of site investigation fieldwork and technical report writing, with a clear focus on career progression. It's ideal for someone with the ambition to take ownership of their work, drive projects forward, and contribute to the growth of the team and the business as a whole.

Geo-environmental Consultant Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee geo-environmental and contaminated land assessment projects from start to finish.
  • Plan and supervise SI fieldwork, ensuring high safety and quality standards.
  • Undertake technical report writing, including factual and interpretative assessments.
  • Collaborate with in-house geotechnical, civil, and structural teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Geo-environmental Consultant Requirements

  • A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in site investigations and geo-environmental consultancy, including technical reporting.
  • Expertise in soil and rock logging (BS5930:2015) and data analysis.
  • A full UK driving licence.
