Large Format Print Operations Manager

We’re working with a large format graphics, exhibitions and retail fit out business based in Glasgow who are currently on the market to add to their senior management team. Operating out of the company’s modern head offices they work hard to supply both global brands and local companies across a variety of different industries.
This person will hold overall responsibility for the production department and associated areas of the business - managing the workflow and team from the art studio through to printing and finishing. The position joins the business at senior leadership level and has the potential to become a Director level role in the medium term.
The Role
- Oversee all aspects of production, ensuring quality and deadlines are consistently met.
- Develop and implement production schedules, balancing workload to maximize efficiency.
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to understand client requirements and expectations.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline production.
- Resolve operational issues and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Develop KPIs to track productivity, quality, and efficiency, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
The Candidate
- 5+ years of experience at senior management level within a print production environment, either as an operations or production manager
- Strong knowledge of print processes, equipment and industry standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing expectations
- Proven successes of process implementation
Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £50,000 based on experience
