Your new companyThis is an exciting opportunity to join a busy finance team working for one of Glasgow's most prestigious employers. This role is key to the department and involves both financial analysis and business partnering, having a chance to get involved in commercial aspects which have a big impact on the organisation. This role is available on a permanent basis and has a number of excellent benefits available, such as final salary pension and 42 days annual leave.

Your new roleWithin this busy role, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of financial budgeting and planning processes across several assigned business areas to ensure effective reporting mechanisms are in place. You will work closely with the central Finance Office to ensure that transactional support is delivered in a highly professional, effective, and efficient manner. You will actively build relationships to convey information to managers on financial performance and KPIs through the provision of specialist expertise and guidance and play a leading role in presenting analysis and commentary on the monthly financial budgeting results set against target, to appropriate management groups. You will also take the lead and be responsible for the financial planning, budgeting and reporting. You will work closely with key stakeholders within the department and will take the lead on project work. Continuous improvement is key, and you will bring ideas and innovation to the department.What you'll need to succeedYou will have experience in a similar role and will hold or be working towards a CCAB accounting qualification. You will have good knowledge of business processes, management information systems and value drivers of management accounting, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Knowledge of Agresso would also be an added advantage. You will also have great oral and written communication skills, with an ability to bring to life complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. You will be resilient and be able to manage competing demands.
