Reed Finance is recruiting for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst for a key client based in Glasgow City Centre. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the role will lead on providing high quality technical and analytical support through the development and implementation of an FP&A function for the organisation. You will improve processes and procedures to support efficient and effective operations within a strong internal control environment.

The ideal candidate will have a background working in an FP&A, FBP or project accounting role. Our client offers a hybrid working model, with a requirement to be in the office 2/3 days per week. You will be required to build strong working relationships with business partners and senior leaders across the business.

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

  • Lead project work within the finance team. This includes leading initiatives involving internal teams and external advisors to deliver strategic projects related to process improvement
  • Shape and lead the future of the FP&A function, providing strategic oversight and direct support to the wider business
  • Present findings and recommendations to inform and support strategic decision making
  • Continually review and identify opportunities for enhancing the information provision
  • Build organisational capability in FP&A, developing analytical, reporting and systems skills within the team.

To be consider for the role, you must possess the following:

  • Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS)
  • Previous background in FP&A, FBP or project accounting role 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extensive post qualification experience
