Job Title: Senior Commercial Broker
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Full/Part Time: Full Time

The Role:
- Working as main contact for key clients, acting as technical point of reference for their commercial insurance requirements.
- Support the management of the client relationship, with a focus on growth (e.g., increasing amount or type of coverage, and/or products and services, for existing accounts) and retention.
- Support the alignment of client strategies and needs to the company's capabilities and resources.
- Liaise between key stakeholders within the business, insurers and clients, on an ongoing basis to ensure high service delivery.
- Serve as a key contact throughout the lifecycle of the relationship managing ad hoc queries and requests and managing client expectations.
- Implement action plans, monitor progress, assure service meets or exceeds.
- Liaise with relevant marketing resource in relation to the production of comprehensive reports for existing and potential new clients.
- Conduct research utilising all tools on various markets or industries as designated to find resources on new growth areas and trends for expansion for internal use to identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct and refine data analysis to support proposal creation and client-facing presentations.
- Address escalated issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, help manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks and apply judgement as to when to escalate major issues to senior level colleagues working within the regulatory guidelines at all times.
- Offer technical support for complex or high-priority relationships when needed to ensure relationship satisfaction and maintain a mutual internal and external understanding.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at client's organisation.
- Attend and participate in appropriate industry/broking events to building a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market including digital channels..
- Operates in accordance with the Company's compliance, quality and governance measures, achieving at least the required standards at all times
Experience
- Minimum 5 years commercial insurance broking experience.
- Proficient in use of Acturis.
- Sound understanding of most classes of commercial insurance including commercial property, motor, EL, PL, D&O, PI, business interruption, etc.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
