The Role: As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a key strategic advisor to operational teams and senior leadership, providing robust financial insights and decision-making support.
Working closely with operational stakeholders, you will bridge the gap between finance and the renewable energy business, ensuring that financial data drives efficiency, performance, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to non-financial stakeholders, translating complex financial information into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with operational teams to drive profitability, financial performance, and long-term forecasting.
- Analyse variances, identify opportunities for cost control, and support strategic planning in renewable energy ventures.
- Develop and evaluate budgets, ensuring alignment with sustainability and renewable energy goals.
- Lead on financial modelling and scenario planning to inform renewable energy projects and waste management initiatives.
- Use data-driven analysis to present clear recommendations to senior leadership for investment opportunities and operational improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in working as a Finance Business Partner or a similar role, preferably within waste management, renewable energy, environmental services, or a related sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with a track record of influencing decision-making at a senior level.
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of P&L drivers, cost management, and financial forecasting.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to drive shared goals.
- Passion for sustainability and renewable energy, with a keen interest in environmental impact and business innovation.
