Reed Finance is working with a client based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Controls Manager. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, compliance standards, and the ability to implement and monitor effective control measures.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage audits, and continuously assess and enhance compliance framework. Our client offers hybrid working. Both qualified and qualified by experience candidates will be considered.

This is a key role within the finance department, responsible for ensuring processes adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. 

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audits
  • Conduct risk assessments related to processes. Identify and address potential compliance risks and control weaknesses
  • Collaborate with various departments to build training programs and guidance on compliance, policies, and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance compliance and efficiency

To be considered for the position, you must possess the following:

  • Fully qualified or qualified by experience accountant
  • Audit and / or compliance background preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
