Idex Consulting are looking for a Practice Manager to look after a team of 30 operational staff within an IFA Practice.The Practice Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the business, leading the administration and paraplanning teams to support advisers, manage adherence to processes and procedures along with improving operational efficiency.Executing excellent performance and production management practices, ensuring good diligence, with a strong ability to multi-task, delegate effectively and prioritise workload.Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a first-line leader in the Advice Operations function, ensuring outstanding service delivery to clients and Financial Planners in line with policies and regulations
  • Manage the smooth day-to-day running of the business, including office systems, workflows, and client servicing
  • Manage all agreed administration aspects for our Financial Planners as per our agreed SLA's ensuring consistency of process and to a high level of quality
  • Ensure all operational procedures are followed and optimised for efficiency
  • Oversee administrative and paraplanning teams, providing training, support, and performance reviews
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff
  • Promote a positive and professional working environment
  • Carry out regular team meetings to communicate team performance and relevant updates, cultivating a transparent and inclusive environment
  • Maintain an efficient, safe, and motivational working conditions
  • Conduct regular visits to each office, promoting team engagement and collaboration
  • Ensure prompt escalation of client complaints or breaches to Compliance, collaborating on resolution and client remediation requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis on client dissatisfaction to implement necessary changes and improvements
  • Ensure comprehensive client information is maintained in the back-office system
  • Manage data control reports to swiftly address exceptions and prevent client or data issues
  • Undertake quality assessments on work completed by the team members to ensure Finli hold quality information and can subsequently report relevant and correct Management Information
  • Monitor and report on team performance according to governance cycles, highlighting trends in errors or omissions for escalation
  • Work in partnership with peers and Senior Leaders (when required) for the needs of the business
  • Arrange and participate in meetings, team events and projects where required
  • Actively promote the principles and requirements of the Group and its senior leaders, ensuring alignment with organisational values
  • Partner with the M&A Team to facilitate seamless transitions of acquisitions into a BAU environment
