Trainee Chartered Paraplanner - Up to £32,000 - Glasgow with Hybrid workingAn Independent Financial Advisers in Glasgow are offering a unique opportunity to work towards becoming a Chartered Paraplanner. Also, if your end goal is to give advice there is a longer term opportunity here to become a Chartered Financial Planner too. The business are happy either way. The development will begin almost immediately. Upon joining you'll get up to speed with their way of working and administrative processes, and then begin helping with fund and product research, and preparing suitability reports whilst simultaneously working towards level 4 and then level 6, which the business will support and pay for.You'll need 3 things to be considered:

  1. Some experience of supporting Financial Advisers and/or industry relevant qualifications
  2. The drive and ability to learn and develop, and pass exams
  3. To be real team player - There are no ego's here and everyone, no matter their standing within the business, still gets involved with the most basic of administration tasks alongside any technical work they're doing or advice they are giving. They are a close-knit team who support one another, they are flexible around each other’s needs and they need someone with that same ethos.

Your role will include tasks such as:

  • Prompt, accurate and compliant submission of new business
  • Managing pipeline business and rectifying any concerns which may arise
  • Produce valuations and meeting packs for client review meetings
  • Attend client meetings, make notes and take on follow-up tasks
  • Screening and processing advisers post, e-mails and calls
  • Report writing, financial analysis and fund / product research

Other details and benefits include:

  • Salary up to £32,000
  • 37.5 hours per week, 30 minute unpaid lunch
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home after you probationary period)
