Finance Operational Risk Consultant - 12 month contract - Glasgow (3 days onsite)
I have an immediate 12 month contract opportunity for an experienced Operational Risk Consultant to join the Finance team of a global bank in Glasgow.
As a Finance Operational Risk Consultant, you'll use your analytical skills and expertise in Risk and Control to support both BAU and project initiatives. You'll focus on optimising Risk Management practices, engaging with stakeholders across the organisation, and ensuring effective Governance. This will include analysing complex data and develop impactful Risk Reporting solutions.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Background: Proven experience in Operational Risk, Audit, or Risk & Control within the Financial Services sector
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on risk and control frameworks, reporting, and process improvement
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to challenge, influence, and negotiate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, and UiPath
- Qualifications: Accountancy qualifications or equivalent preferred
