We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our client’s well-established company. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks, maintaining and organizing pallets, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the stores area. The role also requires flexibility to assist other departments that require forklift operations. The ideal candidate should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks using a forklift truck.
- Maintain, organize, and repair pallets as required.
- Ensure the stores area is kept clean, tidy, and in good order.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed, performing forklift operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet operational goals.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Paid for 45 hours per week.
- Additional overtime may be required, compensated at an overtime rate.
Compensation:
- £13.25 P/Hour (equating to £31k per year)
- Weekly pay.
- Competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Forklift Truck License.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work across various departments as needed.
