We are currently looking for a Forklift Driver Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Uddingston Depot.

The role is a full-time position, working 45 hrs per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00 19:30 with a 30-minute break. A weekday hourly rate of £11.71 for hours worked before 6pm, and a weekday hourly rate of £12.68 for hours worked after 6pm, some weekend work may also be required with further enhanced rates available.

We are looking for a well organised individual who will work as part of the Warehouse team to ensure the efficient and safe running of the day-to-day warehouse and yard operations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, whilst considering vehicle weights and dimensions, ensuring this is done within the plan and to schedule.

Responsible for keeping the warehouse and yard clean.

Assist as required in the warehouse including the wrapping and labelling of pallets.

Ensuring all tasks relating to the yard and warehouse are carried out safely and effectively, including ensuring that all personnel on site, employees, contractors, or customers are adhering to the relevant site rules and regulations.

Ensure that plant and equipment is kept in good working order, raising defects when required.

Requirements

Previous warehouse and fork lift experience preferred.

Hold a current counterbalance forklift licence.

Health and safety conscious with the ability to challenge the wrong behaviours and ensure everyone is always working in a safe manner.

A good communicator, attention to detail and excellent organisation skills.

Ability to work well on your own as well as part of a team.

Previous pallet network experience advantageous.

Flexible approach to work demands, including some weekend work.

Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment, working to deadlines.
