Our Client is a well-respected logistics provider seeking skilled and professional Class 1 Drivers to join their team in Glasgow. We are hiring for 2 Night Shift Roles and 1 Day Shift Role on a Temp to Perm basis. Role Summary:

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, and adhering to all relevant legislation and safety protocols. This is a hands-on role with a focus on reliability, professionalism, and maintaining the highest standards in every aspect of the transport process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out deliveries and collections throughout the UK.
  • Load and unload vehicles in line with company guidelines and using the appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain the security of the load during transport and while loading/unloading.
  • Comply with all vehicle safety regulations, including tachograph operation and the Working Time Directive.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation and reports.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers and colleagues.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • C+E Licence is required.
  • Valid Driver CPC card (DQC) is essential.
  • Digital tachograph card is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years' LGV driving experience.
  • Must be over 25 years old due to underwritten insurance.
  • Good knowledge of EU regulations and the Working Time Directive.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of major UK roads.
  • Sound understanding of the Highway Code, including speed limits and vehicle-specific regulations.
  • Proven experience in manual loading/unloading and securing freight.
  • Unacceptable endorsements: Drink or drugs-related endorsements within the past 10 years or any disqualifications in the past 5 years. No codes on licence with prefix: IN, CD, DD, DR, BA.
