As an Endoscopy Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway.
  • Support and assist the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in managing and organising care within the endoscopy unit.
  • Deliver quality care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within your scope of practice.
  • Participate in improving Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services.
  • Develop and enhance your skills and knowledge continuously.
The ideal Endoscopy Practitioner will have:

  • Registered Practitioner status with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Basic and advanced competence/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
  • Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
  • Teaching/Assessing/Mentorship qualifications.
  • Knowledge of standards and external bodies like the Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, and HTM 01-06.
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
