Fire Stopper

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Stopper to join our team, covering Glasgow and Edinburgh. In this permanent role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and compliance of various residential, commercial, and industrial buildings through effective fire stopping measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing fire stopping systems, including fire-resistant seals, barriers, boards, mastic, and intumescent products.
• Conducting fire stopping in line with industry standards and regulatory compliance, including BS 476 and EN standards.
• Inspecting and maintaining fire-stopping installations to ensure long-term efficacy.
• Working collaboratively with site teams and reporting on progress to supervisors.
• Documenting all work in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in fire stopping or a similar role.
• Knowledge of passive fire protection techniques and materials.
• CSCS card (blue or relevant certification for fire stopping).
• Awareness of health and safety regulations, including Asbestos Awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Self-motivated and reliable with excellent attention to detail.
• Full UK Driving License.

Desirable Skills:

• BM Trada or FIRAS certification.
• Experience working in residential and commercial environments.
• IPAF or PASMA certification (preferred but not essential).
