MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Group IT Auditor for a leading FMCG company in Glasgow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver end-to-end IT internal audits across the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT risk assessment and control evaluation, with expertise in industry frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO27001.

The Role

As a Group IT Auditor, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for examining and analysing internal controls and business risks across the Group's IT operations. Key Responsibilities of the Group IT Auditor:

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end IT internal audits and investigations with a focus on Financial Controls
  • Evaluate design adequacy and operating effectiveness of IT controls
  • Provide high-quality internal audit reports to management and the Audit Committee
  • Follow up on agreed management actions
  • Stay updated with IT and Cyber Risk developments and industry best practices

Required knowledge and experience for the Group IT Auditor role:

  • Information Systems/IT degree or IT Internal Audit qualification (e.g., ISACA, CISA, CIA)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an IT Auditor or IT risk and controls specialist
  • Comprehensive experience in auditing IT applications, information security, and IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge of IT and security-related industry frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001)
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills

This is a hybrid role based in Glasgow but there will be up to 30% travel within England and Ireland
