HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISORSALARY - UP TO 拢45,000 p.a.GlasgowOur client is a large distribution company which is experiencing real growth in the marketplace. They are looking for the services of an enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor based in the outskirts of Glasgow.You will have experience of motivating and leading the company's existing employees to ensure they understand the importance of H&S culture and be motivated to carry out safe practices.The successful candidate will identify, coordinate and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity, working closely with the Operational Management teams - and will work closely under the guidance of the Head of Safety for the business.You will be educated to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate with a couple of years' experience OR have a few years' experiencelooking to completing your NEBOSH Certification.Key Responsibilities:路 Monitor compliance of company policy and procedures路 Investigate accidents / incidents thoroughly and report on findings路 Conduct root cause analysis and identify remedial actions路 Generating and reviewing Risk Assessment & Systems of Work路 Collate statistical information路 Take the lead in small-scale projects路 Manage contractors (approvals, authorisation & permits)路 Participate in delivery of induction materials路 Work alongside an already established supervisory team路 Basic facilities management路 Liaise with Group Health & Safety Manager as requiredCandidates should possess the following qualifications and skill set:路 NEBOSH General Certificate or similar preferred路 IOSH membership preferred路 Full driving licence路 Proven track record in an advisory capacity路 Experience in Construction, O&G, Manufacturing or other high risk environments would be a benefit - but not essential.路 Ability to work under pressure路 Good time management skills路 Good communication skills at all levels路 Good computing skills with the ability to produce quality reportsThis is an excellent opportunity for a H&S professional to really make their mark with this expanding company - If this is a position, or you know someone that might be interested, please contact me about the details below.
