MERJE is delighted to be partnering a FTSE250 listed FMCG business who are recruiting the newly created role for a Head of Risk. This is unique and exciting opportunity to join a business as they look to embed a new Risk, Control and Audit function, offering you the chance to create and embed an Enterprise-Wide Risk framework in a dynamic organisation at the forefront of the consumer goods industry.

The Head of Risk will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating risks across the business.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement and can be home based or based out of the following locations: Glasgow, Bristol, London or Dublin.

As Head of Risk, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies. This role offers competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work with a talented team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Risk:

  • Develop and maintain robust risk management frameworks
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the organisation
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate risk management into strategic decision-making
  • Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals
  • Report on risk-related matters to the board and executive leadership

Required knowledge and experience for the Head of Risk role:

  • Extensive experience in risk management and developing risk frameworks
  • Experience across the FMCG sector would be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CRMA, FRM)
  • Proven track record of implementing successful risk management strategies
