First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Hire Desk Controller to join a long established Plant Company with operations across Scotland and England, within their Glasgow depot.
What's on Offer:
- Straight to perm role
- Monday to Friday
- Mon to Thurs 8am to 5pm and Fri is 8am to 4:30pm
This role will report directly to the Depot Manager and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team of operatives in ensuring that customer service, communications and documentation is managed and co-ordinated.
Duties will involve the following:
- Answer incoming calls, emails, and other communications from customers, suppliers, and internal teams, directing them to the appropriate person or providing assistance where possible.
- Support the Operation teams in delivering exceptional service to meet customer requirements, aiming to provide a positive customer experience and timely resolution of any issue.
- Provide administrative support to the onsite workshop team, helping to manage daily tasks and contributing to the smooth operation of the workshop.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues in other depots and departments to ensure smooth operations and good communication.
- Assist with new account openings, pricing, and check asset availability.
- Efficiently generate hire paperwork, including contracts, delivery, and collection documentation.
- Navigate CRM and log all inquiries in the appropriate category.
- Navigate and use InspHire software to manage hire fleet, process transactions, and access product specifications.
- Convert customer enquiries into profitable hires.
Assist in increasing sales growth within the local area by making proactive sales telephone calls.
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must have:
- A drivers licence
- Confident, ambitious, and customer-focused nature
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the hire desk or plant hire industry (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Eagerness to learn new skills and expand product knowledge
