My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Door & Loading Bay Technician to join their team working throughout Scotland.In this role, you will maintain, and repair a variety of loading bay systems and industrial doors. Working with some of the most advanced products in the industry, you will be integral to ensuring their high-profile clients' operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and safety compliance.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients, providing technical advice and support.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, adhering to industry regulations.


The role will involve a degree of travelling but no requirement for overnight stays or particularly long commutes; all work will be planned within a reasonable radius of your home address. You will be paid door-to-door travel time, and all hours outside of your contracted hours (8:00am to 4:30pm) will be paid at 1.5x your hourly rate.

About You:

  • Experience: Proven background in maintaining and repairing industrial doors, dock levellers, or similar equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g., CSCS, PASMA, IPAF) are desirable.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license required.

  • A competitive hourly rate ranging from 12.50ph for a Junior Engineer, through to 16.50ph for an experienced Engineer.
  • Door-to-Door Travel Time.
  • Commission paid on quoted repairs paid by the client of 2.5%.

  • Excellent callout rota payments; standby rota of only 1 week in 9.
