Job Title: ON-TRAIN - TICKET EXAMINERLocation: Glasgow CentralSalary: PRO RATA £30,543 per annum on completion of training. The trainee salary is£21,193 per annum.Training: 7 days commercial training and a 2-day Induction programme.Contract: PermanentHours: PART TIME 15hrs per week.Various shifts & weekend working.Monday - Sunday earliest start time 04.19 latest finishing time 01.00 hours.
Job Description:* For many passengers you'll be the face of the organisation that they will remember.* Creating a first-class impression, and making them feel safe, secure and welcome, shouldcome as second nature to you.* You need an eye for detail when checking and issuing tickets, an organised mind whenhandling cash and processing card transactions and a level head when patrolling the trainand dealing with overcrowding, travel, customer issues and other situations that mightunexpectedly arise.* This role will involve assisting passengers with disabilities to board and alight trains andcould involve the use of a portable ramp which weighs up to 15kg, the portable ramp may berequired to be carried the full length of a train.
Skills Required:We are looking for candidates who have cash handling and customer facing experience.

You don't need to have any experience as your training will include induction, customerservice, commercial skills, first aid, fire safety, disability awareness and conflict management- will be professionally delivered to give you all the tools you need to master this interestingrole.
