Pre-Cable Field Inspector (FTTP)

Glasgow and Central Belt

Contract basis for approx. 6 months with immediate start

260 per day (Inside IR35 / Umbrella company) plus business mileage

We're looking to bring in an area inspector to cover Glasgow and the Central Belt and ensure that all pre-engineering works are in good order when it comes to build / job packs and everything from a permit, planning and design perspective.

You'll be working to assess the route feasibility and high level, will review everything is in place - wayleaves, any potential Special Engineering Difficulties (SED's) and physical challenges, including potential traffic management, footpath and carriageway condition and provide estimate of potential costs where needed.

You'll also be responsible for the transition from design into delivery and you'll be conducting live and retrospective sites audits with an eye on compliance associated with NRSWA, staff qualifications, SHEQ and general work in line with expected specification.

Position will be quite diverse when it comes to customer liaison, LA liaison and the internal community engagement teams.

You'll need the NRSWA supervisor with solid FTTP knowledge and be able to make common sense calls about job packs and if anything is missing that is going to stop work before it happens, then come up a plan to make things right.

Role is on a day rate contract basis with an immediate start, and while you will be using your own vehicle, business mileage will be covered.
