The Role
We're looking for a professional with hands-on experience in retrofit projects, covering both residential and commercial buildings. The role will involve assessing existing building stock, advising on energy performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with sustainability standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting in-depth energy performance assessments of existing buildings.
Providing expert advice on improving insulation, ventilation, heating, and renewable energy solutions.
Applying key industry standards, including PAS 2035, to retrofit projects.
Producing detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of sustainability strategies.
What You'll Need
A background in retrofit projects or building surveying.
Strong understanding of building fabric, thermal performance, ventilation, and low-carbon technologies.
Experience using SAP, RdSAP, and PHPP modelling software.
Familiarity with UK energy efficiency legislation and net zero targets.
Ability to analyse construction details and interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of Passivhaus principles is an advantage.
Experience engaging with clients and project teams.
