We are excited to present a rare opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join a busy contractor based in Glasgow. Delivering projects across a range of sectors, including retail, commercial, healthcare, and industrial, this reputable company have secured a strong pipeline of work.

They are looking for an experienced, dedicated and results-driven individual to play a leading role in overseeing health, safety, environmental, and quality, on a range of diverse projects.

This role will be based out of their Glasgow office, with travel to sites throughout Scotland. UK wide travel may be required on occasion, but not regularly.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SHEQ function across the organisation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve SHEQ performance.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on SHEQ matters.
- Conduct site audits and inspections across Scotland, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and environmental initiatives.
- Develop and deliver SHEQ training and inductions to employees and contractors.
- Manage and maintain the company’s SHEQ systems and documentation.
- Ensure that all incidents, accidents, and near-misses are reported, investigated, and acted upon.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a SHEQ Manager or similar role, ideally within a main contracting environment.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong understanding of H&S, environmental, and quality legislation, and the ability to implement these in a practical setting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
- Strong IT skills and experience with SHEQ management software and reporting tools.
- Full driving licence with the flexibility to travel throughout Scotland and occasionally to England.
