Our client, one of the country's leading privately owned Construction Companies, is looking for someone like you to join their team of professionals! As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our client's workforce and the successful implementation of safety protocols. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact by implementing best practises and improving the health and safety culture within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Conduct safety inspections and provide comprehensive reporting to stakeholders, ensuring employees receive adequate feedback and follow-up.
Control the work-pack preparation and review process, including RAMS, permit applications, COSHH, MH, HAV, noise, and lifting studies.
Assist in identifying and addressing the safety training needs of the company, ensuring effective delivery, recording, and validation of training.
Report injuries and dangerous occurrences as required by statute, with clear follow-up and corrective actions.
Provide advice and assistance to improve the overall health and safety culture within the organisation, while sharing best practises.
Advise company directors and management on all aspects of health and safety, including changes in legislation and regulations that may affect operations.
Liaise closely with contract management staff to incorporate safety considerations into operational activities and conduct risk assessments to minimise incidents and injuries.
Qualifications:

NEBOSH General Certificate.
Membership of IOSH.
UK Driving Licence.
Diploma or Degree level health & safety qualification.
CSCS Card at Health and Safety Technical, Supervisor, or Manager Level.
Qualification such as HNC/D or Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Related Occupation.

Experience:
Relevant and current experience in a health & safety advisor or manager role within the construction industry.
Experience in Oil & Gas and/or Energy sectors, ideally within a High-Risk Industry.
Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with the latest health & safety legislation and industry best-practise guidance.
Ability to produce, obtain, and distribute up-to-date health and safety information.
Knowledge of working with external authorities like SEPA, HSE, Local Authority, etc.

Personal Qualities:

Excellent communication skills at all levels within the organisation.
Strong relationship-building abilities with other stakeholders, including contracts and health & safety departments, as well as clients.
