Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our clients facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, a deep understanding of the food production and packaging industry, and the leadership qualities required to manage teams and drive business growth.

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of department heads and operational staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring profitability and cost control.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other financial metrics, making adjustments as necessary to achieve financial targets.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other third parties.
Work with senior management to define the company's strategic goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the business vision.

Profile

A successful General Manager should have:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Food Science, or a related field (preferred).
At least 5-7 years of experience in a senior management role within the food production or packaging industry
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams across various departments.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, food safety standards (HACCP, BRC, etc.), and quality control processes.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
