- Work closely with the CFO, Head of Finance and I.T to shape and deliver future payroll strategy.
- Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made, payroll reconciliations carried out and all legislative timescales are adhered to.
- Responsible for managing a payroll administrator and support with any queries when required.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with other departments such as HR and Finance teams when required.
- Ensure compliance with UK Laws (HMRC) and internal policies.
- Confident in liaising with Internal and External Auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
- Oversee processing of payroll changes and system upgrades.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
- Up to date knowledge of UK Payroll Laws and procedures
- Experience of working with outsourced Payroll provider (MoorePay or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
