The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with an organisation in Glasgow who are nationally recognised for their payroll services to various clients within multiple industry sectors.

Benefits on offer are outstanding and will happily be disclosed in open communication.Our client is seeking to hire a payroll manager in a newly created post which will report into the senor leader within the department. The role will be based in the Glasgow office on a hybrid basis and will have a number of payroll staff reporting into them.

The Glasgow function is a cross disciplined office and there will be a high degree of cross departmental interaction within your day to day activities. Whilst this is a management post, we are also looking for an individual who is actively hands on/on the tools still.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to manage a team of payroll processors who manage a number of portfolio payrolls. The role will manage approximately 9 people and will be on hand to offer operational support to the team. Whilst reporting into the senior leadership team, they will manage the relationships with clients in the main, however this role holder will be responsible for delivery and improvement of services to the end customer.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Conducting 1-2-1 appraisals with the payroll operations members.Manage the day to day payroll function for our client ensuring that staff coverage is adequate for required tasks.Review and critical analysis of payroll process with a view to making improvements where possible.Assisting with the day to day query resolution for clients and be the key support for the team.Mentoring, training and assisting with the day to day delivery of the monthly payroll for a portfolio of clients.Work closely with senior leaders to understand bottlenecks and problem area`s and design solutions to these scenarios.

The RequirementsWe are looking for an experienced payroll deputy manager who is looking to take the next step into their management career. There will be a high degree of interaction with stakeholders internally and externally so communication skills of a high degree are crucial.
