Overview: We are looking an IT Helpdesk Support Apprentice to provide a high level of support for the systems within the Group, communicating with colleagues on all levels.

Duties will include:

  • Providing 1st level support for all VGroup Business Systems, these include in house applications and off the shelf applications used by VGroup. 
  • Provide telephone and remote support to Global offices and vessels ,maintaining a professional manner when dealing with users and peers. 
  • Attending Vessels and offices to provide IT support. 
  • Working with the Service Desk system to update users during the lifecycle of the request and resolve or escalate as required.
  • Supporting all aspects of hardware used within the Group.
  • Enforcing the IT security policy and procedures.
  • Active Directory / User Administration. 

Desirable skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of colleagues in person and on the phone.
  • Good communication skills are essential. 
  • Must be able to communicate in English both orally and via email/teams. 
  • Knowledge of Desktops and Laptops and if any server exposure
  • Windows 10 Operating system or any server Operating systems
  • Microsoft O365 applications
  • Any scripting / coding software
  • Networking/ Database / Security

Working week:Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, 37.5hrs a week. 

Salary:£17,500 per annum.
