Cloud Operations Manager (Edinburgh or Glasgow) - To £70k w/ bonus scheme

Lorien is partnering with our award-winning FinTech client as they recruit their new Cloud Operations Manager for their Glasgow or Edinburgh office. This position will focus on leading the Cloud Operations Team responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure solutions on the platform, whilst making sure operations stay functional and optimised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior hands-on expertise leading projects related to the Cloud Operations team
  • Oversea the Cloud Engineers guidance and mentoring where required
  • Effectively organise prioritised tasks in accordance with the customer platform covering: Operations, development and improvements
  • Maintain effective working relationships across the business and wider Infrastructure function.

Key Tools and Technologies you will use:

The successful candidate will bring an existing knowledge using Azure Cloud and private cloud, including a solid understanding of Terraform. You'll have been hands-on with cloud technologies and tools covering Azure DevOps, HaloITSM and Git, and have a background in both Windows and Linux environments. Ideally, you will previously have managed a Cloud team and lead Azure projects from start to finish.

Additionally, it would be highly beneficial to possess knowledge of the following:

  • MS-SQL - Azure SQL Database
  • Linux - CentOS, AlmaLinux
  • PowerShell/Bash
