Your new company

Well known government organisation. This department runs a number of important initiatives and is expanding due to an extremely busy period in light of recent projects undertaken. With further funding agreed, they are placing IT at the heart of what they do, and you will be joining during a crucial time in which they aim to achieve their objectives.

Your new role

As a Solution Architect specialising in Microsoft estate applications, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing comprehensive solutions that leverage a suite of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Umbraco. Your responsibilities will include crafting scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures that meet business requirements. as well as ensuring seamless integration of various Microsoft applications and services. You will be working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and IT teams to align solutions with business goals providing guidance and best practices for the development and deployment of solutions. In addition this role will involve staying updated with the latest Microsoft technologies and trends to continuously enhance solution offerings. This will require a deep understanding of cloud computing, enterprise architecture, and the ability to translate complex requirements into effective solutions. What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have experience of the following:

  • Collaborate with business, data, application, and infrastructure architects to lead technology architecture initiatives.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF is advantageous.
  • Proficient in cloud-first technologies, particularly Azure.
  • Experienced in driving digital transformation projects.
  • Work across various business areas, including customer and corporate functions.
  • Design and document solutions for organisational implementation.
  • Ensure solutions align with organisational requirements.
  • Evaluate system designs to ensure appropriate technology selection, resource efficiency, and system integration.
  • Stay informed about new tools and techniques.
  • Develop solutions based on established design standards, methods, and tools, ensuring effective implementation.
