A newly created opportunity working for a multidiscplined growing UK engineering services business who work with a diverse range of customers across education, defense, local authority and many other areas. This SHEQ Manager vacancy will be focused on personnell providing engineering services into those facilities.

The SHEQ Manager will be responsible for:

  • Implementing health, safety, and environment strategies to enhance performance and foster a positive culture.
  • Providing technical health and safety advice, manage risks, and conduct incident investigations.
  • Coaching and supporting leaders, managers, and supervisors, and lead Safety Committee Meetings.
  • Acting on legislative changes, maintain compliance, and assist in occupational health matters.

The SHEQ Manager will have:

  • Ability to create pragmatic solutions to deliver objectives and a proven track record in implementing effective management systems compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Can adopt different approaches and styles of influencing to foster effective working relations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver business compliance messages clearly and appropriately, building credibility with business leaders and site personnel.
  • Excellent working knowledge of current legislation, codes of practice, guidance, and operating procedures. Continued development in health, safety, and environmental discipline, ideally Tech IOSH or heading towards Cert IOSH / CMIOSH
