Overview:We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist with supporting SOC Managed Service customer deployments for SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Security Awareness Training and Threat Intelligence. The role will provide technical engineering support to the SOC and its customers.
You will assist and work with in the Security Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This role is customer-facing, and as such, the candidate must have excellent communication and writing skills.
Working to the highest of security principles the role will involve, assisting with onboarding, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence Systems. In addition to this, you will work with internal and external support teams to deploy and maintain the SOC infrastructure.
Key Activities & Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to:]
- Responding to engineering cases and providing timely support to our customers.
- Raising cases and updating cases to an SLA within an IT ticketing system.
- Working with customers to troubleshoot and fix technical issues as they occur.
- Working with and escalating technical issues to internal and external support teams as required.
- Ensure that all industry and security best practices are followed at all times.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting the SIEM architecture.
- Maintaining and Troubleshooting issues on both Windows and Linux Servers.
- Deploying both virtual and physical infrastructure.
- Assist with routine health checks, backups and patching efforts.
You will be trainied on new technology as required.
What we are looking for: Technology Focus:Successful candidates will be:
- Aware of the cybersecurity industry
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of the appropriate solutions, including SIEM solutions, firewall technology, vulnerability management, network, cloud, and endpoint security technologies
Working week:Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 35hrs a week.
Salary:£20,000 per annum.
