Piping Detail Design Engineer
Are you an experienced Piping Detail Design Engineer ready to embark on an exciting new journey? Whether you're looking for a Permanent or Contract (Inside IR35) position, we have an opportunity for you in vibrant Glasgow!
Join us in working on cutting-edge naval marine design projects for both defence and commercial marine vessels. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, undertaking a variety of detailed design piping activities that adhere to our high standards and processes.
In this role, you'll dive into the intricacies of piping spatial integration, mechanical systems, material selections, pipe supports, and human factors in layouts. You'll collaborate with technical focal points, tackle challenges head-on, and propose creative solutions. Your mission? To ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Plus, you'll have the chance to identify cost savings, manage changes, and contribute to the technical excellence of your team.
Your day-to-day will include producing 3D CAD models and drawings, providing solid engineering evidence for design decisions, and keeping a close eye on quality and cost performance. We're looking for candidates who are degree qualified (though other qualifications will be considered) and have experience in marine engineering or complex engineering domains. Proficiency in tools like Windchill and Foran is a must, along with top-notch communication skills. If you're a strong team player with a resilient attitude and a solid understanding of Health and Safety and regulatory requirements, we want to hear from you!
