Head of Quality & Safety         Immediate Start (3-6 Month Contract)Location:                                 Glasgow, with occasional travelAn immediate opportunity has arisen for a Head of Quality & Safety to lead the Engineering Quality team at Walker Engineering. This pivotal contract role is key to ensuring the reliability, consistency, and safety of products and processes within aerospace and precision machining industries.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement quality strategies to support business objectives and operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 Rev D, Nadcap, and customer-specific standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the organization
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring their quality expectations are met
  • Oversee audits and ensure health, safety, and environmental standards align with quality goals
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Must have experience with AS9100 Rev D and Nadcap compliance
  • Proven leadership experience in quality management within aerospace and precision machining
  • Strong background in implementing and managing quality systems, strategies, and continuous improvement
  • Degree in Engineering (master’s preferred) and relevant quality management certifications
  • Exceptional ability to manage budgets, influence at a strategic level, and deliver results
