Job Title: Claims Handler

Location: Glasgow, hybrid

Salary: £25k - £35k

Interested in handling a wide and varied range of commercial claims?

Here you would be working with one of the fastest growing brokerages in Scotland, to deliver an efficient and high-quality claims handling service to their clients.

The role involves proactively administering and negotiating claims settlements, maintaining strong relationships with insurers, and providing technical advice on policy coverage.

Ideally you will have some sort of Property claims handling experience, a large proportion of claims will be Property related.

What will you be doing?

• Administer and negotiate claims settlements on behalf of clients effectively and proactively
• Handle complaints and service issues, ensuring compliance with regular file checks
• Provide support and assistance to the claims manager as needed
• Promptly address telephone enquiries and correspondence, referring queries outside of own knowledge and experience to the appropriate person
• Liaise with clients, colleagues, and insurers on claims procedures, queries, and technical liability issues
• Coordinate the appointment of nominated Loss adjusters & solicitors on behalf of the client
• Develop and maintain good relations with partner insurers & suppliers
• Provide accurate technical advice on policy coverage and explain the claims process depending on the insurer involved
• Create and maintain accurate records and files in line with Claims Procedures Manual
• Maintain a diary system to ensure that outstanding claims are regularly reviewed and settled

About you:

• Experience handling Property claims, this can be Home Claims or Commercial Property/Real Estate
• Commercial Motor/Fleet claims handling experience will be considered also
• Keen to learn new areas of claims and products on offer
