About the job

We are looking for two senior underwriters based in Glasgow and the Midlands. One role will focus on complex SME within the Property & Commercial team, and the other role will focus on complex casualty within the Liability & Construction team. Please note both roles are Hybrid based.

In addition to underwriting and account management, the role will involve identifying new opportunities and, as part of the wider team the development and implementation of new schemes and rollover deals. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues and carrying out broker meetings on behalf of the business.

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years' Commercial Underwriting experience
  • Has/is working towards professional qualifications
  • A well-rounded understanding of different product classes

Your professional attributes

  • Possess substantial knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Have the ability to underwrite complex risks
  • Display proven trading capability
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • IT competent, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
  • A desire to contribute valuable insights and aid in our company's evolution
