Role Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join the team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of projects, ensuring that they meet cost, schedule, and quality expectations. You will also provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering projects within a major capital investment programme.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with a wider network of technical experts to ensure innovative solutions are incorporated into project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Significant experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record in delivering complex water projects.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
- Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
