Search Tech is seeking a Senior Land Manager based in the Scottish central belt to work with our Renewable Energy Developer client with assets across Solar, on & offshore wind, PV & BESS. This position sits within their business unit leading projects from initial land identification through the delivery cycle including the planning process and grid connection and represents a fabulous opportunity to join an established, committed and responsible developer organisation.

The role requires experience in land management within the Renewables & Environment sector, focusing on wind, solar, and storage projects.

Key skills and experience:

  • Land / Legal / Planning Qualification (degree level as a minimum) RICS
  • Minimum 3years of experience in renewable energy industry, particularly in solar PV, battery storage, and onshore wind projects
  • RICS qualification
  • Experience in land assembly and budget responsibilities
  • Management of agents and legal support for land agreements
  • Understanding of planning and consenting processes
  • Contract preparation and tender process management
  • Stakeholder management, including regulators, consultees, and local communities
  • Project team and budget management
  • Ability to translate technical details into commercial impact
  • Effective multitasking and prioritization

The role involves leading activities such as engaging with potential landowners, negotiating agreements, and managing legal support. Additionally, the role requires mentoring and managing junior team members.
