Town Planner

Location: Glasgow

Are you an experienced Town Planner or Planning Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity in Glasgow?

We are recruiting for a dynamic professional to join a successful Land and Planning team in West Scotland. This role offers you the chance to be part of a well-established team handling a range of planning applications, from large-scale developments to detailed site delivery.

The Role:

As a Town Planner, you'll work closely with the Land Director and be responsible for:

Leading all planning applications, including Outline, Full, and Reserved Matters, as well as managing planning conditions and Section 75 agreements.
Overseeing the masterplanning process and collaborating with layout designers, engineers, and external consultants.
Preparing planning assessments and a variety of technical documents to support applications.
Coordinating public consultations and providing clear feedback to stakeholders.
Assisting senior management in key business decisions and contributing as the planning expert in regional meetings.
Mentoring and training junior team members to ensure development and growth within the team.

What You'll Need:

Relevant experience in development management or planning, gained in either the public or private sector (e.g., Local Authority, Consultancy, or Developer).
A degree or master's in Planning, accredited by the RTPI.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to lead initiatives confidently.
A full UK driving licence.
